Kenninghall Barns
Three Individual Barn Conversions in Kenninghall, Norfolk
Kenninghall Barns is our latest development in the Norfolk countryside. Set just outside the village of Kenninghall, the development will see three existing agricultural buildings carefully converted to create three individual homes - Ash View Barn, Chestnut Barn and Willow Barn.
Each of the three barns has its own layout and character, shaped by the existing buildings. Ash View Barn is a three-bedroom, single-storey home, with living accommodation arranged around the existing barn and overlooking the pond. Chestnut Barn is a five-bedroom home arranged over three floors, with a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living space and a separate sitting room. Willow Barn is a four-bedroom home, combining generous ground-floor living space with a principal bedroom suite on the first floor.
As with all of our projects, the character of the original buildings will be an important part of the finished homes. Traditional brick and flint, red pantiles and existing beams will be retained alongside carefully considered new elements, with timber cladding also featuring on Chestnut Barn and Willow Barn. Inside, traditional details including oak doors, engineered oak flooring and wood-burning stoves will sit alongside contemporary kitchens, bathrooms and modern fixtures and fittings.
The three homes will have their own outside spaces within the rural setting amongst existing trees, landscaping and a pond forming part of the wider development.

Location
Kenninghall is a rural village in the south of Norfolk, close to the Suffolk border and situated between the market towns of Attleborough, Diss and Thetford.
Surrounded by countryside, the village has a population of just over 1,000 and a good range of local amenities including a village shop, pub, café, primary school, GP surgery and village hall. There are also a number of footpaths and countryside walks in and around the village.
The village has a long history, with connections to the Dukes of Norfolk and the former Kenninghall Palace, which once stood here and was used by both Queen Mary I and Queen Elizabeth I. At the heart of the village is St Mary’s Church, which dates from the 14th century, together with the historic Red Lion, a traditional country pub recognised by CAMRA for its nationally important historic interior.
Attleborough is approximately 6 miles north, while Diss is around 6 miles south-east. Diss offers a good selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and everyday amenities, as well as a mainline railway station with direct services to Norwich and London Liverpool Street. Attleborough also provides a range of shops and amenities, while Norwich is approximately 18 miles away.
